FACILITIES MANAGER

Fauquier County Public School System is recruiting for a Facilities Manager to supervise/manage construction and renovation projects, facility maintenance and repair, facility systems replacement, and capital improvements. The Manager will coordinate maintenance and repair by County staff and contractors, environmental remediation, space studies, custodial services, and facilities use for the school division. The Manager will supervise three Project Managers, a Clerk of the Works, an Energy Manager, a Custodial Supervisor, and an office associate. Key managerial tasks are to track construction/renovation projects, prepare and maintain the annual budgets, serve as staff principal on the School Board Building Committee, and act as a liaison with the County General Services Department. The Manager reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Administration.
Quaified applicants should possess comprehensive knowledge of the phases of construction as related to new construction and renovation of buildings. Qualified appicant will be able to read, understand, and interpret construction documents (e.g. CAD, blueprints). Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes; safety regulations; preventive maintenance: property management and procurement processes is required. Knowledge of Indoor Air Quality standards and corrective actions is needed. Preferred applicants should hold a vocational'techncal degree andOr an equivalent combination of training and experience relating to the performance of duties. Experience as a construction superintendent or a project manager is preferred. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding public school construction in addtion to experience in capital improvement plan development implementation, and funding is desirable. Salary range is $47,346.00 to $72,072.00 dependng upon experience.
Successful applicant will be required to be available to respond to after hour emergencies. School Division provides an assigned vehicle.
