stepped up to the plate - or rather, the pool - when they spontaneously volunteered to become dunking booth targets, raising significant funds for the fire company.
The Boy Scouts provided another year of outstanding sendee parking cars and welcoming guests to the carnival. And loads of volunteers— Richard and Mary Ann Krammes, David Riedel, Ed and Patty Marcey, Paul and Kathy Russo, Ray and Sherry Holland, Kel Achenbach and Howie Swaim, to name a fraction of the faithful—kept the games, bingo, food, and fun rolling four nights in a row.
The Rappahannock Sheriff's Department provided a full complement of deputies who provided safety education and kept a watchful eye on the event’s cash operations, escorting the funds to a safe location each night. Crowning the event with their usual flair were members of the Ladies Auxiliary, who added their sweet concoctions in the bake stand as well as hours and hours of legwork and service in the cookstand, assisted by longtime member Alice Pullen, now in her early 90s.
