Mechanicsville, Va., was traveling up the mountain toward Thornton Gap when he lost control of his 2001 Suzuki GSXR-1000. Boggs crossed over into the eastbound lane and hit a guard rail. No injuries were reported, and Boggs left the scene on his motorcycle.
