Red Cross to
host third
annual run
The Culpeper-Madison Chapter of the Red Cross will host its third annual “Remember 9-11-01” commemorative poker run, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m., to raise funds for local disaster relief and other programs and services. Riders of all makes and models of motorcycles and street rods are invited to participate.
A donation of $15 per hand is requested. The ride will start and end at Mountain Run Lake Park in Culpeper. Prizes will be awarded at 4 p.m., and food sales will be offered between 1 and 5 p.m.
Registration forms may be picked up at the Red Cross office at 146 N. Main Street in Culpeper, or filled out the day of the ride. Pre-register by Aug. 20 and save $5. The first 100 riders will receive commemorative ride pins.
To get to Mountain Run Lake Park, take Route 29 South of Culpeper, turn right on Mountain Run Lake Road
