Among the 80 candidates to receive degrees at the summer school commencement of Madison College is Miss Elsie Dodson oif Flint Hill. Miss Dodson will receive the Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She teaches at Washington Elementary School. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie J. Hitt of Amissville celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday with a reception at their home. They were married Aug. 5, 1914 in Warrenton. Mr. and Mrs. Hitt have 21 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. During the morning worship service at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Mrs. T.C. Lea made a presentation of furnishings for a Sunday School room in the parish hall in memory of her late husband.
