Wanda’s father, the Rev. Albert Payne of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Amissville, located a van at Settle’s Garage in Flint Hill. Unfortunately, the $7,500 price tag was beyond the Payne’s budget. Upon hearing about their difficulty, several concerned residents asked the Washington Baptist Church to help.
