cattle, and grass up. She has already worked hard on the marketing aspect of the farm by helping make a brochure, adjust meat prices, and compiled cooking instructions.
In Brown’s opinion, Miller’s quest to bring in younger farmers is a good one.
"Young people bring a willingness to interact with people and in being young you are not set in your ways," said Brown. As far as her work at Mount Vernon, Brown feels she is in a very good position.
"By nature most farmers do not want to work for someone and Cliff’s attitude has been really great," explained Brown. While Brown does not own the land she works, or all of the cattle, she feels that her time at Mount Vernon is being well spent, because all she has learned is an investment in herself.
