much more to be done. "Becky is getting the opportunity to build up her own herd. She is an amazingly talented young woman and I never would have thought I would be doing this with a 26-year-old woman from an island up North," said Miller.
Miller added it will take a few years until the two can work out an agreement that is fair and meets the needs of both parties, but in the mean time they are learning what does and does not work on a daily basis. "We may end up having a partnership. She has taught me a lot and she has learned a lot about the land that is impacting her," continued Miller. "If you are both going in the same direction you can work it out, but I wouldn’t want Becky to stay (at Mount Vernon) a minute longer if she were unhappy. She will make an excellent grass farmer somewhere. If everything with Becky works, she wifi be a farmer that makes a difference," concluded Miller with a smile.
