Todd Gilbert, the Republican candidate for the 15th District House of Delegates seat in the Virginia General Assembly, expressed his disappointment with the United States Supreme Court’s decision recently to allow local governments to condemn private property for economic development projects. Gilbert also announced his intention to patron legislation to prevent condemnations in Virginia which are not for traditional “public use” but are intended to benefit private parties.
