by Mrs. J.R. Johnson Miss Barbara Swindler hadas her guests on Saturday her nephew Dr. A. W. Kagey and Mrs. Kagey of Martinsville. M/Sgt. Lee Swindler who is on leave from Omaha, Nebr. left Monday for St. Louis Mo. where he will attend school for two months in advanced photogrammetry. Mrs. Swindler and children will be with relatives here during his absence... Once again the people of Rappahannock, their guests and people passing through were delighted with the beautiful luminary display and fireworks on the lawn of Avon Hall Sunday evening. Appreciation goes to Mr. and Mrs. Carrigan from the many who enjoyed this annual salute to Independence Day. The benefit supper proved popular to the extent that the food was in short supply.
