story of his then 8-yenr-old brother Matt s near death as a result of a tour wheeler accident. While he was standing on the street Matt made a vow to never again be in the position of not knowing what to do in case of emergency. Today, Chris and his two brothers are career emergency health care professionals. Both his mother and lather are EMTs with his mom still active with the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Their family response' to this trauma was to transform that lour and pain into professional training and to a lifetime of community service, both volunteer and paid professional.
Chris had come horn a night shift from his work in Quant ico to teach our course last Saturday. If you are not t'PK certified, either for your own needs dr as a prerequisite for EMT training, don't miss Chris' next course. His is a passionate and skilled teacher whose approach soon overcame the qualms of those of us in the class who were anxious and insecure. The information was well organued. There was ample practice with adult and infant dolls, and Chris supplemented the curriculum with answers to our participant questions. He gave one of the best explanations of heart tunc tion that 1 have ever heard.
