This letter is in response to
the article “Williams out at sheriff's office" in the January 10 issue of the Rappahannock News.
As I read the article it seems to me that it was a lit-. . tie one sided, and there is •*-***' always two sides to every story. I think the choice of wording by the (speaker] (she chose to give the boot to the sherifFs office’s second in command) was a very poor choice and does not give Sheriff Connie C. Smith much credit for the job the people of Rappahannock elected her to do.
When asked by the Rappahannock News if she had any comment about the article and she said no. I think Connie was being very professional.
Some things Mr. Williams failed to mention in his interview with the Rappahannock News was that he told employees at the sheriff*s office that if he was elected as sheriff, Connie C. Smith was going to be gone, as in fired.
