Amissville resident Rick Kohler said Fletcher’s admission that he was asking for a permit that allowed him more than he wants to do on .the property is a “de facto withdrawal" of the application.
“Mr. Fletcher has said this application is not what he really wants to have." Kohler said. “If this is not what he wants, why are we here? I don’t think this body is here to start a negotiation process, where hell start at one end and you’ll start at one end and youll meet in the middle somewhere. I think Mr. Fletcher should apply for what he wants and let the panel make a decision.”
Other speakers cautioned that allowing one commercial use will inevitably lead to more.
