The 2008 training will be held in Madison and Rappahannock counties on Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m. and will be delivered in 12 classroom sessions and 4 field trips by professionals in the various fields. Following the training, participants must give 40 hours of volunteer service and take an additional 8 hours of advanced training annually to be certified as Master Naturalists under the VMN Program. The cost of the training is $125, with additional fees of up to $25. Class size is limited to 20, and the application deadline is February 1.
