We as a county must look to special uses for the future such Agri -Tourism if we are to keep large tracts of land intact. Marriott Ranch operates a Conference ('enter in northwestern Fauquier County with very little impact on the area. Uses such as Marriott have been deemed a good fit for the community by the Piedmont Environmental Council.
1 feel that we need to look down the road 100 years to the ultimate disposi tion of the county and its zoning, but it is apparent that Rill Fletcher’s neighbors cannot see past The Miller Farm, much less down the road. It is unfortunate this small group of well organized activists have diverted attention from the real issues and have focused citizens on “their concerns” rather than the best future land use for all of Rappahannock (’ounty
