Charles D. “Jug” Williams, 69, of Front Royal, died on Sept. 2.
Mr. Williams was born June 12, 1939, in Huntly, son of the late Warren D. Williams and Eunice Irene Williams Henry.
He was a mechanic for 15 years and a trim carpenter for over 35 years. He enjoyed playing pool with his buddies, wrestling, softball, and fishing.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Gloria “Jeannie" Williams.
Additional survivors include four sons: Ronnie Williams of Front Royal, C. Scott Williams of Arlington, Va., Donnie Williams, of Front Royal, and Steve Williams; three daughters, Tracey Clegg of The Plains, Va., Lisa Hayes of Stephens City, Va., and Shelly Steele of Missouri; a sister Dorothy Jane Weimer of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, of which four were raised by their grandparents and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sept. 6 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, conducted by Rev. Greg Amos.
Interment followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
