™ TJP mmut®s into the second quarter, No. 5 Matt Fletcher made a 15-yard run, bringing the Rappahannock Panthers so close to getting the first touchdown. The Panthers made it to the Hancock 15 yard fine but could not score.
pie second half proved to be much more promising for Rappahannock. Hancock blundered on the kick-off to Rappahannock which the Panthers took advantage of with good field position and made some gains, but still cou|d not get past the Hancock defense to score.
The crowd was starting to get anxious toward the end of the fourth quarter with the score still 0-0. Brook Stokes, No. 21, made a 17-yard gain from midfield to the Hancock 23 but it was called back on a penalty.
Finally, quarterback Daniel Rollins snuck by the Hancock defensive line with five minutes left in the game. Dean Hogan then scored the extra point with a well-placed kick. The team later celebrated its victory at McDonalds on the way home. It seems that fast food is the only way to go at 11 p.m., with a win under your belt.
