the pizza shop next door, which only has two tables, and that is one of the reasons for the current expansion.
Work is almost complete on an upstairs patio area where Thompson and Nash plan to serve grilled food, sandwiches, salads and an upgraded menu from the pizza parlor to include such “gourmet'* toppings as crab, duck and fresh basil. They plan to open the new patio serving area - which will double the total number of current seats to over bO - next month.
The new Stonewall Abbey has seemed to find its niche as something that is not quite a restaurant, but more than a cate sen ing a limited menu. The Abbey plans to offer more live music on its small stage this fall. It also has picked up the hikers and horse trail riding crowd by offoring a place to get a quick breakfast and packed sandwiches and wraps to go.
The Abbey has Wi-Fi in addition to three Mac computer terminals for Internet access and a big screen television for catching up on news and weather. Gentry said that they have also benefited from the success of the Grille as they pick up a lot of overflow - especially people waiting for tables. They are conveniently next door.
