me sport ot steeplechasing is a couple of hundred years old. but it looks to be a vibrant part of tile sportinn heritage of many areus of the eastern seaboard still today. Why is that? What is it about horse racing in general. and steepleehasing in particular, that you tliink entrances spectators and tans?

*TL'N: As the 21st cen'ury progresses, what began as a sporting event between triends and neighbors has become a real, serious business. How do you retain the sporting aspect ot steeplechasing wliile at the same time remaining a professional business?
