Department oi Parks. Recreation. Community Services has air opening for a Recreation Center Assistant at Claude Moore Recreation Center in Sterling. VA. This position will pian/implernent programs, activities, classes, special events to assure program quality and revenue projections are met. Will serve as Manager on Duty ( MOD) as scheduled to manage day-to-day operations/issues which occur during assigned shift Will recruit and interview class instructors, schedule facilities, and coordinate equipment/supplies. Will develop a variety of programs to serve all segments of a diverse population and will develop marketing materials to promote programs. Will oversee and perform general supervision of facility drop-tn users, renters, participants according to department policies and procedures. Will handle customer service concerns in accordance with center and department guidelines. Willing to work a very flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, holidays to meet cents needs. High School and 4- years of directly related experience in community and group recreational programming. Prtor supervisory experience is strongly preferred. CPR. First Aid and TB certifications required. Successful candidate will undergo Criminal History, CPS and DMV record checks.
