County voters may not have thought the Kramer Building in Washington was worth much, hut a local businessman certainly did. eliminating the possibility of the county purchasing - at a re-negotiated price - the building to use the space for county offices.

Ken Thompson - co-owner of Thornton River Grille, The Sperryville Corner Store and Rudy's (along with his wife Mary, his son Andy, and his wife Dana* - has partnered with Peter Kramer to form the Kramer Building, LLC.

The new corporation was formed to attract tenants and businesses to the town of Washington. *®4‘ “Pedple have been coming to me concerned that there is almost no traffic in Washington.” said Thompson in an interview yesterday.

Thompson - who lent Kramer $779,767 to restructure* his mortgage - said they have alreadydone work on the building, sprucing up the grounds and painting the exterior. There are plans to renovate the building.

The building has about 13,000 square feet of usable space, but is only one third occupied.
