“We have so much on our plates right now, we can hardly say grace." said Thompson.
The building is also wired for broadband Internet, addressing one aspect that the newly renamed Economic Revitalization Advisory Committee is exploring as a need to attract new business to the county.
Thompson, however, likes to defer the attention to people other than himself. This now partnership he saw as an opportunity to help Peter Kramer after the county purchase debacle.
He will also stress that he doesn’t run those very businesses in Sperryville. Those are run by Andy and Dana Thompson.
“I view my principle role,” he said of those businesses, “as selling newspapers on Sunday mornings.”
Thompson said they will soon be advertising for new tenants, and hopefully bring some “revitalization" to the Town of Washington.
