for the dogs?
This week we learned that Sally Cunningham - a
longtime volunteer and fundraiser for RAWL -
was asked to resign as president of the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League by its Board of Directors.
We had heard indirectly that she was given an ultimatum with a list of grievances which, if she were being told to resign, seemed a little self-serving.
All of this, we are told, because a project to renovate the two shelter buildings at the Amissville collection center had run into cost overruns.
Several requests by the Rappahannock News for comment from the board went unanswered.
That the board decided to make a personnel change is not unusual, but what followed was, and can be accurately described as the casual and flippant attitude that it was none of our business; it was a private matter.
