‘WFLS, Take Me
To See Taylor!’
Rappahannock County High School senior Samantha MacArthur and Lauren Settle (in photo), with help from RCHS art teacher, Joy Sours, entered a contest to see 19-year-old country-pop singer Taylor Swift, who is Settle’s “favorite music artist” and will be in concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion on June 11. The contest, which ends June 10, is hosted by radio station, 93.3 WFLS out of Fredericksburg. In order to enter the contest the students had to make a big sign saying: 'WFLS, take me to see Taylor!” After obtaining permission from principal Adam Burket, the girls hung a huge, pink and white lettered poster on the side of RCHS. They are asking the community to help them win the contest by going to WFLS.com and voting. Voting is limited to one vote per email address per day. The contest also provides limo transportation to and from the show.
