• On Tuesday, June 9 the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m. closed session and at 7:30 p.m. public session at RCHS band room. • On June 10, the Washington Town Council will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Highlights from the agenda include: public hearing on an amendment to the sewer ordinance; wastewater update: consideration of the Goodine and Section 108 i hardship appeals of sewer assessments; approval of the FY 2009-2010 budget; consideration of the Metcalf water tap request; grant writer proposals; appointment of a Planning Commissioner, and a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance. • If you are a property owner in the Sewer Service District in the Town of Washington with an existing building that has previously been denied a drainfield by the Health Department and you would like the town to consider allowing your property to connect to the sewer at “Existing User” rates of $7,500 per tap or EDU, please apply by writing to the town by June 8.
