Seven properties within the Washington town limits are under consideration for rezoning from rural residential to village residential.
The properties include three owned by the Inn at Little Washington along Harris Hollow Road, the Child Care and Learning Center apartments and building on Mt. Salem Avenue, Jimmy Debergh’s property adjacent to it, the Middleton Inn on Main Street, and Alice Butler’s property at the fringe of the town’s limits on the northeast side of town on Skyline Lane off of Harris Hollow.
The Town Council and Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing in July to allow for public comment on the proposed zoning changes. The July date will be determined at the June 10 meeting.
