Washington's Planning Commission met Monday night to discuss the possible rezoning of the seven properties which an1 at the edges of the town core. Should these properties be approved for rezoning by the Town Council, they would be eligible to connect to the sewer system in Phase I.
The arguments presented were that these properties are along streets that already have the sewer main installed, and that including them will amend “anomalies" which exist in the current zoning structure.
All except one property an* either adjacent to properties that are currently zoned village residential, along a street that has sewer access or both.
Why these weren’t zoned village residential prior to the sewer project no one can answer definitively.
