House tour this weekend
The community is invited to the 53rd annual House Tour and Dried Flower Sale sponsored by the women of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington
Hours for the tour and sale are 11 a m - 5 p in on Saturday. Oct. 17 and from 1-5 p m on Sunday. Oct 18. Tickets are available at Trinity Parish Hall in Washington and at each tour house.
Tea will be served each day from 2-5 p in.. at the Middleton Inn on Main Street in Washington.
The inn has been the tea house for many years, and is an historic Federal style brick manor house.
It was built by Middleton Miller, who manufactured uniforms for the Confederates in the Civil War
It is now a bed and breakfast, owned and operated by Rappahannock News editor Mary Ann Kuhn, and the first floor is open for tea visitors.
Cost to see all three homes and have tea is S20. Visiting an individual home is $10 and enjoying the tea and Middleton Inn alone costs $5.
