“This is phony," scoffed Longyear, who said he has recently stopped reading Rappnet and lowered his blood pressure significantly as a result. “It’s a phony issue. I went out yesterday with Tom [Junk] door-to-door. The very first person we met said, Tom, I’ve known you for years, but Pm a liberal Democrat and I have to vote for Mike Biniek.’ If Tom or Terry tried to hide the fact that they were Republicans, the same people would say, ‘Hey, what are you trying to hide9’
“Here is an idea for you if you are concerned about the intrusion of national partisan politics into our local supervisor election," Beverly Hunter posted on Rappnet Tuesday, after most had had their say online.
“There will be a public forum on Oct. 26 at the Theatre in Washington, at 7:30 p.m., where the candidates will be on stage and answer our questions."
