Trail ride hosted by the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department for the public, also on Sunday, Oct. 25,9 a.m., to 4 p.m. Cost $40 per each day’s ride, $60 for both days, half price for 10 years old and younger and free camping Friday and Saturday night. Morning coffee and chili each day. Ride at your own pace on marked trails. Proceeds go to the fire department. • Benefit cookout hosted by the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department, 5:30 - 7 p.m., at the junction of Route 522 & 662 West Hillsboro Road, Huntly. Cost $20 per person. Payment required by Oct. 20; checks and cash only, no walk-ins, rain or shine. Music provided by The Shenandoah Travelers. This is a benefit cookout to raise money for our local firefighters. The complete meal includes London Broil, grilled chicken, baked potatoes, with fixings, com on the cob, salad, assorted nonalcoholic drinks and dessert.
