will hold him in their hearts and minds forever.

Hold on to what is good, even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to uhat you believe, even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do, even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life, even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand, even when I have gone away from you.

A Pueblo Blessing

Quiet bustle

Outstanding fall weather brought visitors to our village this past week. On the west end of town, Beech Spring Farm, Antique Emporium along with Bubba’s BBQ, Olde Way Art Center and all the roadside antique and fruit stands all along 211 had a steady stream of customers.

Likewise, Main Street had more visitors strolling, shopping and dining than has been seen in ages. There was a quiet and peaceful bustle. One can speculate that increased Shenandoah National Park visitation, the new businesses on Main Street, the county’s increased marketing efforts and the attraction of fall colors drew an increased number of visitors to our village. It was lovely to see the vitality of our little village during this holiday weekend.
