Pie Bake Off
The young farmers of the county are busy preparing for the Fifth Annual Bluegrass Festival, Chili Cook Off and Apple Pie Bake Off on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 1-5 p.m. at Rappahannock County High School.
Featured bluegrass bands are The Courtney Hollow Band from Madison County and Five of a Kind Bluegrass from the Shenandoah Valley. The Courtney Hollow Band has been playing for eight years and Five of a Kind has been playing for almost 30 years.
Kevin Day and Peter Kramer are back with their chili recipes. In addition to chili tastings, there will be lunch, drinks and baked goods. Slices of apple pie will be sold after the judges sample the pies in an Apple Pie Bake off to determine winners. There also is a silent auction with great local items.
Support the Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club as it continues as the oldest 4-H club in the county. Tickets are available at Beauty Box, Drum and Strum and Culpeper Music.
