Chappell said the school system’s revised RCPS Pandemic Flu Plan was sent home with students, emailed to parents and posted on the school system’s Web site Tuesday, and permission forms for parents who want their kids to receive the vaccine were also sent home this week.
The permission forms are due back next Tuesday, Oct. 20 - and vaccines, according to Chappell, would begin in the schools sometime after that - though he, and Bradshaw, were not sure of the exact timetable. Vaccines for healthcare workers and other first-line responders, a state health department priority, are already arriving and beginning to be administered. School children and pregnant women are not far down that list, Bradshaw said.
