Piedmont and Stonewall-Hawthome districts, but every Rappahannock resident. If Junk and Dixon are elected, they will control two-fifths of the votes of our Board of Supervisors, all local laws and regulations — including our zoning laws and the upcoming revision of the Comprehensive Plan.
This is not an attack on the Republican Party. We would react the same way if Dixon and Junk were running as Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, Whigs, Federalists, or in the Bull Moose Party.
The county needs board members who wall support and lead Rappahannock into the future as we face issues that will leave an indelible imprint on our lifestyle and our local environment.
County citizens have come here and/or never left here because most of us find that Rappahannock is the best place in the world to live. Let’s keep it that way. The county is surrounded by cheesy partisan politics; we hate to see it brought here. We must do better than that. The future of the county depends on it.
