Junior Hawkins came up with the correct answer to last week's question—The U. S. First Cavalry was the first American force to • cross the 38th parallel. They made the crossing on October 8, 1950. This week I am going to try something a little different. Can someone give me the author of these lines, and the occasion:
“Above all, I know there is a Supreme Being who rules the affairs of men and whose goodness and mercy have always followed the American people, and I know He will not turn from us now if we humbly and reverently seek his powerful aid.”

are that the council job in the Town of Washington is not a very desirable one. Friday passed without a single candidate filing for candidacy—or is it that someone wants to be drafted— from where I sit it seems that one ' of the most important parts of the position is letting the voters of the town know where you stand and if you intend to run for office. Of course, it is possible that the office is not that important. Or is that no one wants the thankless job. Could be.
