LITTLETON F. KENNEDY
Littleton F. Kennedy, 90 years of age, and a native resident of Rappahannock County? died at the University of Virginia Hospital on Monday morning, April 12. He entered the hospital about three weeks ago where he was being treated for a fractured pelvis bone caused by a falLat his home in Slate Mills where . he resided with his son and daugh-. ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Waver W. .Kennedy. * • His wife was the late Mary Catherine Fincham of Rappahannock who died 18 years ago. He spent his entire life farming and resided with the Shacklefords in the F. T. Valley for 27 years.
He is survived by two daughters and six sons who are: Mrs. Andrew Sisk of Sperryville and Mrs. Bennie Jenkins of Brandy; Henry of Leesburg, James A. of Culpeper, George Dewey of Olney, Jolly and Waver of Slate Mills. He is also survived by 54 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was amember of the F. T. Baptist Church for many yeaars and his pastor, Rev. A. Paul Thompson conducted the services, Wednesday afternoon, April 14, from the Geest funeral Chapel with interment in the family section of the Fairview Cemetery.
The active pallbearers, consisting of his grandsons, were Benjamin R. ^Jenkins, Burgess Kennedy, Charles 'H. Sisk, Lee Kennedy, Harry W. Fincham, John Kennedy and William Kennedy. Among those serving as honorary - pallbearers were S. R. Shackleford, Joe Yowell, Marvin Brown, Wheeler Cubbage, L. R. Hudson, Fred Jenkins, Grover Jenkins, Louis Fincham, Tom Fincham, Will Fincham, Bennie Fincham, Keith Smoot, Leon Shenk, C. H. Smoot, Isiah Smoot, Rufus Leake, K. E. Tanner, Dr. R. W. Quaintance, Robert Fincham, Robert Kennedy and William O. Fincham.
