Glimpses of Yesterday
(This column is a bit of yesterday, borrowed from yesterday’s weekly, The Blue Ridge Guide, whose editor; and publisher was the beloved George E. Cary.) % In the locals : Rev. J. A. St. Clair, of Richmond, will preach at the Baptist church, next Sunday morning and night? Mr. I St. Clair has been here several days | visiting in the neighborhood. Miss Helen Meigs entertained the Bridge Club last week at the Cherry Tree and Hatchet. Mrs. Henry M. Keyser won high score prize.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Hill CBannon, and Mrs. Tate Greer were ini Fredericksburg, Wednesday, to attend the luncheon given the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, D. A. R. at Hermonine. The Community League held their, regular monthly meeting in the high schopl auditorium Saturday evening. The program consisted of a quartette by Miss Nellie Wood, Mrs. Willie Gentjy, Messrs. Billy Hellen and _Granville Eastham. Tap dancing by four girls. The ballet dancing by Miss Mary Hellen was the hit of the evening. Miss Hellen had quite a bit of training in New -York City, In the Movies: ' ‘ ■ Tim McCoy in a thriling action drama, “Police Car No. 17,” and Frederick March, Miram Hopkins and George Raft in “All For Me.” And in the classifieds:
