At the intersection of Route 522 and Main Street in Sperryville at the Sandwich Shop two vehicles collided Sunday, June 7 shortly past noon. A 1960 Pontiac convertible operated by Charles Edward Faulconer of Orange, headed south on 522, was struck in the left side by a 1960 Chevrolet convertible operated by Eugene Harrison Clore of Spotsylvania. Clore was proceeding from 522 up Main Street, according to Trooper Paul Dicka There were no injuries and damage was estimated at $300 to the Pontiac and $100 to the Chevrolet. Clore was charged with failing to yield right of way.
