Lovely girls will be much in evidence at the Washington Carnival Parade starting promptly at 7 o’clock on Thurs day, June 25, led by Grand Marshal Miss Joanne Heegar, glamorous member of the Way side Theatre in Middletown. The parade will also be highlighted by the appearance of the sprightly drum and corps, the Virginia Lancers of Str as - burg. Acceptances for appearances of other units are being received daily by Parade Chairman Edward M. Clark. Prepare to be thrilled on Friday night when the Capital Sky Divers Club, Inc. and St. Michaels Angels Sport Parachute Club of Washington, D. C. will give 'ft- daring exhibition of precision parachute landing at the Carnival grounds area. And who will be awarded the Ford Fairlane 4 Door Sedan and other prizes including an all wool, moth-proof, hand crotcheted afghan???? That will be known on Saturday night, after an evening of entertainment and fun at the carnival grounds. Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. will act as official hosts for the distinguished Iguests appearing in the parade i which include Rep. and Mrs, John 0. Marsh and family, Senator George Aldhizer and Miss Heegar.
