Among these were a fishing contest for Youth and Adults, which was discontinued. Establishment of Wildlife Food Patches for adults and juniors. This had proven very popular particularly among the adults. A part of the seed was furnished through their Game Warden and part purchased. Representatives of the Game Commission scored and the results and winners were announced at the Annual Dinner Meeting at which time awards were presented and officers for the next year elected. This organization has a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer and two directors per magisterial district. These men draw up regulations for each contest sponsored with the advice of representatives of the particular sportsmanship Interest group which had expressed interest in seeing a particular function put on. The fox-hunter members helped plan their Annual Drag Jlace and turn-out which has ^been in cbtistengt^for-several years attracting 40-50 hounds and several hundred spectators. The Rappahannock Hunt and other Independent hunters of this county have participated and contributed to the success of this event. Each person entering a hound, as well as those entering other contests must be a member of the association. The entry fee of $1.00 per hound pays for silver trophies awarded to winners, engraving and prizes for the horn blowing contest. In recent years Bird Dog and Beagle Field Trials have been sponsored.
