Richmond, Va., — Walter Bluford Kilby of Sperryville has been commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S.Army in commissioning ceremonies at the University of Richmond. Kilby will serve in the Medical Service Corps. He was commissioned a few hours before he received a bachelor of science degree at University of Richmond commencement June 8. Kilby, a member of the Baptist Student Union at Richmond College, the men's liberal arts undergrade ate division- of the university majored in chemistry. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Kilby of Sperryville.
