8.1 RACCOON HUNTING SEASONS AND BAG LIMITS: (a) There shall be a continuous open hunting season on raccoon in counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, except Bedford County and National Fortsta "and Commission-owned lends, provided, however, the season tor hunting raccoon shall be October 1 through March 10 in the counties of Amherst west of U.S. Route 29, Charlotte, Fairfax, Fauquier, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Loudoun, Nelson west of Route 161, Patrick, Pittsylvania and Prince William. No bag limit.
(b) It shall be lawful to hunt raccoon in counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Bedford County, other than National Forests and Commission-owned lands, from October 15 through January 31, except in the counties of Augusta, Bath, Clarke, Frederick, Highland, Page, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren, other than National Forests and Commission-owned lands, the season shall be October 16 through February 28. The bfg limit shall be two a day.
(c) It shall be lawful to hunt rac-. coon in the National Forests and Commission-owned lands, except Hog Island and Weston Wildlife Refuges, from the third Monday in November through January 31. It shall be unlawful for any person, or group of persons, to take more than two raccoon in any one twenty-four hour period in the National Forests.
This shall become effective July 1, 1964.
