Jonas Frank Atkins
Jonas Frank Atkins of Sperryville died Friday, June 5, 196^ at his residence. Son of the late Jonas Atkins and Sallle Dodson, his wife, and a native of Rappahannock County, he was 84. He is survived by one brotheij Atha Atkins of Lexington, 111.; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Atkins of Sperryville, Mrs. Her3ert Jenkins of Washington, Va., and Mrs. Joe Darnell of Washington, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Sunday, June 7, at 3:00 p.m. at Beech Spring Regular Baptist Church near Spenryville, with interment following in the Atkins family cemetery. Pallbearers were Jonas Jenkins, Cecil Atkins, Alton Atkins, Lyle Atkins, Ashby Pullen, Alvin Atkins, Lee Atkins and Burnam Atkins. Arrangements were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.
William M. Scott
William Montgomery Scott of Viewtown, died June 9, 1964, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. Son of the late William Scott and Lucy Norman, his wife, and a native of Rappahannock he was 93. His wife, the former Miss Lessie Settle, died in 1946. He wasamemberoftheForest Grove Baptist Church at Viewtown.
Mr. Scott is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Annie Scott and Mrs. Victoria Corder, both of Amissville, Mrs. Cora Norman of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Irene Norman of Front Royal; one son, Moffett Scott of Amissville, fourteen
