no decisions as to events to be sponsored by the Rappahannock Game and Fish Association were decided upon at this meeting. It was the concensus of those present that first effort should be a drive for increased membership. However, considerable interest in Coon Dog Trials was expressed at both meetings to date. Messrs. Cook and Hitt of Amissville told of recent organization of these, sportsmen from their community. It was explained that one of the aims of the Rappahannock organization was to bring together all of game hunters and fishermen in one big and independent county organization.
An invitation to the coon hunters was extended to these men in hopes that they would pitch-in with the county organization. Membership dues in the Rappahannock Game and Fish Club has been set at $1.00. Those appointed to make the membership drive Were Jim Bill Coates, Ennis Brown, Paul Miller, Nelson Atkins, Sr., B. A. Cook, Mr. Hitt, and Morgan Johnston, Ernest LillardandW. A. Lyne. The big kick-off membership meeting has been set for 8:00 p.m. July 9th at the Court House. All county sportsmen are urged to be present.
