Recently I was told, our state Geologist, Mr. James L. : Calver, had made the state■ment that if one had not struck water in drilling a well in the vicinity of Sperryville within •■a depth of 70 feet that it was useless to drill deeper. This •being interest arousing information, I wrote Mr. Calver for further information and '■asked if this report were true. • Mr. Calver promptly replied and sent information which 'should be of interest and value to property owners.
