Randall S. Updike 'received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry from Vlr ginia Polytechnic Institute at commencement exercises held at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 7. He was one of 1255 candidates presented diplomas at the 92nd graduation exercises of the college. Randall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Updike, Wash ington and a graduate of Rap pahannock High School.

Lieutenant Colonel Woodrow W. Jenkins, son of Mrs. Ada B. Jenkins of Peola Mills, Sperryville, graduated Friday (June 5) from the Air War College, the U. S. Air Force's senior professional school, at the Air University, Maxwell4 AFB, Ala. Doctor Edward L. Katzenbach, Jr., deputy assistant, secretary of defense for educa» tlon, addressed the graduates as they marked the end of 10 months of intensive study. The university-level course provides senior officers a better understanding of the elements of national power and aerospace resources preparing the graduates for higher level com mand and staff positions. Colonel Jenkins is being reassigned to the Directorate of Accounting and Finance at Headquarters, U. S. Air Force in Washington, as an accounting systems officer. The,colonel’s wife, Susan, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Poore of 5606 Wilson Lane, Bethesda, Md. He received his bachelor’s and master's degrees in commercial science from Benjamin Franklin University, Washington, D. C., and his B. S. and M. B. A. degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park.
