Mr. and Mrs. w. B. Wake and son, Chappie Wake of Saluda were guests during the past week of Mrs. Wake’s parents Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman. Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. S chaefer and their son, Freddie left Sunday for avaca tion in the western states. Miss Susan Schaefer will spend this week with her aunt Mrs. Gordon Payne in Madison. ' Overnight guests on Saturday of Mrs. Perle Coffey were her sister-in-law Mrs. Raymond Rector of Marshall and James Nelson Rector of Richmond.
Miss Armentine Leggett and niece of South Boston were Sun day overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Coates. On Monday Mrs. Coates and daugh ter Cassie, Miss Leggett and niece left for a four day visit in Williamsburg.
