Mrs. Robert Jenkins

Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Jen kins, 79, of Washington, Va. died July 20, 1905 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock, the daughter of Booten and Elizabeth Burke, and the widow of Robert Elwood Jenkins. I She is survived by five sons, James A. of Barboursville, Rufus D., Robert H. both of Washington, Va., Wade E. Fredericksburg and Boot Jenkins of Brandy Station; four daughters, Mrs. Clinton Jenkins, Washington, Va., Mrs. Lester Curtis, Remington, Mrs. Elwood Hannah, Fredericksburg and Mrs. Willie Jenkins, Sperryville; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Hezekiah Burke Winchester and Charles M. Burke, Woodville. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Geest Funeral Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. Ethel Harrington of Sperryville officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George B. , Charles A., George R., John W., Russell J., Robert C. and Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. and Lester E. Curtis, Jr., all grandsons.
