John Butler of Huntly will be associated with Watts Barbershop, Washington, during the week-ends, according to M. G. Watts, owner of the shop. Mr. Butler will, for the pres ent time, be employed there Fridays and Saturdays.

1 Causes Two Fires
Heavy rains last Wednesday afternoon were beneficial to agriculture, but accompanying lightning caused twofires. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jenkins near Washington, lightning ran in on the refrigerator and burned it out, Washington Fire Company responded to the fire. Lightning also ran in on a radio in Judge T. C. Leas’s office in the courthouse melting the plastic case of the radio and causing papers nearby to ignite. Custodian Guy Burke was in the building at the time cleaning up and discovered the blaze. He put it out before any extensive damage occurred. Rain to date in July measures 2.20 inches. Total rainfall in June was 1.14 inches. June of 1965 had 1.32 and in 1964 it was 4.23. An eighteen year average for June is 3.7.
