Children Plan M D Carnival in Flint Hill
A neighborhood Carnival for the benefit of muscular dystrophy victims will be held on July 24, 1965 at Flint Hill. Raye Marion Rector, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lyle Rector will serve as Ringmaster, assisted by Judy and Carol Burke, Donna Lynn Rector and Steve Allen Payne. The Carnival, which begins at 12 noon, will feature such games as Penny Pitch, Ring a Duck, Bowling on the Green and others. A special feature will be pony rides. There will be refreshments for sale, and all proceeds will go to aid the fight against dystrophy and related diseases afflicting miP lions. Last year, in cooperation with Muscular Dystrophy Associations of America, more than 12,000 Carnivals were held by children across the country, and over $180,000 was raised for MDAA’s research and patient service programs.
